Grace Jarvis is starting a support group for anyone who grew up as “the weird kid” or anyone who was ever referred to by the hate crime of a cliche that is “old soul.” If you ever did something you thought was impressive to try and make friends, only to be met with looks of horror and a reputation for freakish whimsy that lasted into adulthood, then this show is for you.

This is The Last Goldfish That I am Going to Eat for You is an anthology of all the weird things Grace did to try and make friends as a kid before she knew she had autism and an examination of how the pervasive “be yourself” rhetoric is only really for people who already fit inside a societal norm. She’s been being herself her whole life and people keep asking her to stop.
